History of the Founders

The Church is the product of the ministry of Men of God, Pastor Marco James Dak and Co-worker Apostle Michael Maluth Tut. The following passages will tell you who these Men are.

Majok Dak Koang, popularly called Pastor Marco Koang, is the Founder and Head of Mission of Empowering Gospel Church aka Bezildit Ministry, which is a bible-based Christian ministry headquartered in Gambella, Ethiopia.

According to his official biography, he was born on 01/01/1981 in a small town by the name of Waat, Jonglei State in South Sudan. He is the Eldest Son of Mr. James Dak Koang and Mrs. Nyayuok Ruot Bidiet. Pastor Marco James Dak was brought up in a Christian home in Sudan, Presbyterian Church Arabic Congregation. Later on in 1993, he joined Young Christian Fellowship (Y.C.F) and was born again in February 1997 at the age of 17 under the hand of Man of God, Hilmi John Tell. In May 1999, during Y.C.F’s prayer and fasting conference, Pastor Marco got Spiritual anointing with the Holy Spirit, which set him apart to carry out ministry work up to this day.

He attends primary and secondary school. In 2002, he came to Ethiopia to join his friend, Pastor Isaac Pur of the Anglican Church in Addis Ababa. Then he joined the Program of Forward in Faith Church and was admitted to Bible School on behalf of Forward in Faith Church in Africa Multination for Christ College for three years, and then he got his diploma. One day, Pastor Paul Ruot Chuol of Evangelical Covenant Church, who was very impressed with the teaching and Holy Spirit ministry of the young Man, invited Pastor Marco Koang to do a Holy Spirit Conference in a local church called Bezildit of Evangelical Covenant in Itang Woreda.

During that Conference, God stretch His hand and do more miracles, signs and wonders through Man of God. There he meets Apostle Michael Maluth Tut on July 2003 and the Ministry got starting point.

Apostle Michael Maluth Tut, the general Apostle of the Ministry, was born on 01/10/ 1957, in Padoch. He grew up as a soldier in the white army during the Anyanya II movement of South Sudan. Then left military background and joined MekaneYesus Church in Jekow, Eastern Nuer area in Ethiopia. In early 2000, Apostle went to Itang and joined the Ethiopian Evangelical Covenant Church. Michael Maluth is a best friend of the Bible. He just only read the Bible for seven years, searching for divine guidance.

On the rainy season in 2002, Apostle Maluth with his cattle and other relatives migrate to unnamed area in Itang, behind village 4. There, they pray and fast for God to open a church (Branch of covenant church), then God gave them a name Bezildit that day. Then they spent one year in that branch doing a lot in prayer and preaching a Word of God, but Michael have not yet receives Holy Spirit since no body show him.

Like Cornelius who devote much of his time praying God, and yet get confirmation until Peter was sent to him; in the same way, Marco James was sent to Michael Maluth Tut to confirm his ministry and receives gift of Spirit in July 2003. Then this become the turning point of these two men and ministry got its name Bezildit after theymove out of Covenant Church due to ignorant of Holy Spirit manifestation by Church leaders.
